Welcome New Commers!

Welcome New Comers to my site!
I set up this site so all my family and friends could follow me
as I follow God's plan for my life in TEXAS!
God has planned out for me to come to Christ for the Nations Institute
for three years. It's a specialized school in a small suburb of Dallas
called Oakcliff. This school is set up to teach 1,400 young and old
about God. I.G. Old Testament, New Testament, Creation Science, Holy
Spirit, etc. All to equip so we can go out and fulfill God's purpose for
our lives with all the tools we need, wherever we go!
So join me in weekly struggles and accomplishments of college life!

Leave comments!

All my love,
Julie Garbowsky

and every other week playing one song before lecture. (11-12)
Also, will be traveling and doing outreaches!
Pastor Sam--can you book us!?! =)

So that is the most amazing thing in my life right now!
God has placed me here for a reason and I'm ready to take it full on!!!
HERE WE GO!

Please pray for me!

-Jules

Jesus where we are now, by following your plan for us i pray that we will make a difference, and be a light unto the world and save lives which is why you died for us in the first place. Let us not lose sight of our main purpose here. Be best friends with you. Be a witness. Fulfill your plan.

amen!

First week of school!

First week of school has been great!

My school day looks like this-
8-8:35-- Chapel (worship)
8:45-9:35-- First Hour
9:35-10-- Break
10-10:45-- Second Hour
11-12-- Lecture (with guest speakers)

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
I have Old Testament (First Hour)
and Creation Science (second hour)

Tuesday and Thursday
I have Real Christianity (First Hour)
and Holy Spirit (second hour)

All great classes with great teachers!

Things have been amazing here! The people and speakers are just
groundbreaking! It's like being at a International Worship Institute
but for 3 years straight! haha. (unfortunately no Steak n' Shake every night)
haha!

God is on the move in a powerful way and I'm learning so much more about him!
Think about this- How do you get to know someone?
You spend time with them- so why don't we spend the needed time with God
like we should? Why do we think of it as a chore? It should be something
we can't go to sleep without doing!!! Just a nugget. =)

Audition Update- I had auditions on Tuesday!
People high-fived me afterwards because I was
the only girl drummer and they thought I was great!
Haha, but by the grace of God I have that talent and
all the praise be to Him!

Wednesday I saw my name on the call back sheet! woo!!!

Thursday was interviews!
To get a final feel on who we are and what are purpose is
for being on stage.
So my questions were-
1) How long have you been in the worship ministry?
I answered about five years and then went on to
name the three different ministries I've served in.

2) What is the purpose of being apart of a worship team?
I answered to bring the congregation into the presence of God.
Also- while playing it's a prayer for that congregation, something
God wants to instill in those people at that time.
But ultimately to bring the congregation into the throne room.

3) What drew you to come to Christ for the Nations?
I answered that I heard about it through the mail and also
my best friend goes here and I learned a lot about it through
her. After months of praying about it, I knew I was supposed to
go here but my parents and guidance counselor was highly opposed
since it's not a accredited. But after attending a worship conference
at CFNI, God told me this is where I'm supposed to be. So my parents,
after picking me up to from the airport I told them and they said- ok!
Lets get you an application.

4) What's your favorite scripture verse?
I answered-- ahh, aaaaaa, hmmmm.
Yeah I went totally blank. I said I don't remember the verse.
So they said well if you just give us the base of it..
so I said it has to do with the singers going forth in battle first.
So they were like oh ok good good.
Then I recovered and said I'll fallback on John 3:16 haha.
They laughed.

=) then it was over!

Now I'm home relaxing in my A/C apartment- Thank God!
Because my hair immediately curled (my bangs which I keep straight)
when walking out the door.

Thanks Jesus! =)

I met some pretty awesome people while being here!
Anna, Kaylan, Hairy, Kim, Tanya, Josh, Jacob, Caleb, etc.

Fun fact- If any of you are familiar with the Revelation Song..
Kari Jobe sings it who is big down here (she went to CFNI)

hmm.. yeah I am friends with her brother! Who is so unbelievably
funny I might pee my pants while talking to him one day!

So that's my life right now!
So amazing.
God is great!

If you haven't talked to God in awhile- just take five minutes to
say hey God, thanks for everything you've done in my life. You're
awesome! To you be all the glory!

He misses you.

Jesus I pray for all of those who are unsure of Your plan for their life,
I pray that you'd just instill in them Your will. So that they would
follow.

First Day of College: Moving In.

Whew! After a six hour delay for our flight, we finally got on the plane around 11:45! Got to Texas at 2:20am. Once getting luggage, rental car, and to the hotel it was 4am. My allergies were horrendous! Parents and I passed out on our mediocre beds and had four hours to sleep before having to get up to get to eat and school to check in and get housing arrangements. Got to the school and there were 6 steps that I needed to make my way too. At step one I met this girl Stephanie who lived about ten minutes away and rides horses. I MET A COWGIRL! haha. She's awesome and lives in my apt. complex! My RA's are pretty cool too! Came by to make sure I was ok! Rene, Dani, and Heather! And no--haven't told anyone that I kind of know the Jonas Brothers Bass Guitar player. =)In fact- Heather's cell phone ring is SOS by the Jonas Brothers. Go figure! Anyway! We got to get a bite to eat at Panera then off to Target to spend 1.5 million dollars on food, appliances, and decorative things! I am set for about a year! haha! Got all unpacked for the most part and everything in place. Even made pasta for my parents for dinner!! Now, here I am back in the mediocre hotel and watching TV for the last time! Just exhausted--but a good exhausted! God has been so great already! Tomorrow brings 2 orientations starting at 1pm.

Bring it on!

Lord, open doors with people! Teach me patience and understanding with my roommmates.
amen!

I'm going to lay this out plain and simple...

So here I am lying in bed realizing this is it.
Last Thursday in Jersey for like 16 WEEKS!
It's hard when it comes to a realization of reality.
Breaks your heart when you see all the people, friends, family,
even the annoying people you have to leave behind.
But- all of those people I'm leaving behind couldn't be
more supportive! All their prayers, love and grace they've
shown me, I will carry with me on my journey. I love them so much!!!
God really provides in times of difficulty. It's amazing how he
just wants us to cry out to him so He can hold us and say-
"there, there, It's ok, I have you know- you're safe with me. I know the plans I have for you and they won't bring you down."
God is always on the move and has His hand over everything!
We just need to learn how to let go of control sometimes, as hard as that is!
It all is to make us stronger and to spill out over to the people around us.
If God fills us with something or puts us through a situation it can't help
but to pour out and effect people in the most positive way!!! How crazy. huh.
We will never understand His ways, but in the long run- at the solution
we take a deep breath and say- "God you were right all along!"

Trust is the keyword.

Always there- cry out- He's waiting to hold you in His arms.

I pray Lord for the brokenhearted, downcast for you have them int he palm of your hand. ready to pick up the pieces and put them back together. Let us relax and know that you, and only you are in charge and know the right way for us. A father would never lead his son into danger, but let's him experience a bruise or cut only to show the son that he's there to hold him and say- there, there it's ok, I have you.
And the cut or bruise will always heal.

amen.
-Jules!
